Famine Point

Jean,

Would you possibly give a broader, more detailed explanation of the famine point? I’ve read NT many times, and for some reason I can’t get a clear understanding of the famine point.

Thanks,

Kelcy

I named the “Famine Point” in response to the term “Set Point” which dieters consider a weight plateau that they can’t move from, no matter how little they eat.  I don’t believe bodies hold on to unnecessary fat for no reason.  Dieters who eat less and less and exercise more to break out of the set point are sabotaging their bodies’ ability to lose.  Famine Point is the minimum on time eating response and the minimum amount of quality food eaten for an individual body to continue to lose.  Outside these minimums, the adaptive responses go into play and fat reserves are kept.  Everybody’s body is different in this and every way.
